Dr Demosthenous grew up in Sydney and attended high school in rural Queensland. He obtained his science degree with first class honours prior to completing his dental degree at the University of Sydney.
With a keen eye for detail, his special interest in oral surgery stems from a love of anatomy. Dr Demosthenous has been heavily involved both in teaching anatomy at Sydney, New England and Charles Sturt Universities over the past 8 years.
Shortly after graduating, Dr Demosthenous gained further oral surgery training while working in the specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Westmead Hospital. While he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, his particular interests are in wisdom teeth removal and implant surgery. Over the years, he has worked extensively in Sydney and country NSW and is happy to now call Forbes home.
While studying and since graduation, Dr Demosthenous has been involved in a number of dental volunteering trips namely to Cambodia, Ecuador and The Republic of Congo. More recently, he has travelled multiple times to the Philippines involved with surgery for children born with congenital cleft lip and palate malformations.
In his spare time he loves travelling, hanging out with friends and family and most recently enjoys being a new dad to little James.
