Dr Sandra Buchler grew up in Sydney and obtained her dental degree at the University of Sydney. Prior to studying dentistry, Dr Buchler completed a Chemical Engineering degree with honours from the University of NSW and taught piano to children of all ages. Her passion for working with children stems from her teaching days and so it was natural that her special interest in Paediatric dentistry developed.
After working as a general dentist in Orange, Dr Buchler spent a number of years working in the specialist Paediatric dentistry and Orthodontic department at Westmead Hospital and gained considerable experience working with children of all ages including those with special needs. Dr Buchler takes an individual approach with each child to ensure that their dental experience is fun, positive and ultimately encourages them to develop a healthy dental attitude into their adult lives.
Dr Buchler is also closely involved in teaching Dental students at both Charles Sturt University Orange and Sydney University dental programs. Dr Buchler is passionate about volunteering and has volunteered in the dental fields in Cambodia, Argentina and the Northern Territory.
Outside of work Dr Buchler enjoys travelling, discovering new cafes, coffee, shopping and most importantly taking care of her newborn son, James
